I am known to trip and fall for no apparent reason, so to say I stumbled into yoga is pretty accurate. Yoga was an alternate method of stretching muscles abused by a lot of running; initially I didn't think it was a long term thing. However, something in me woke up. I continued to practice.

I remember the day I experienced the practice and teacher right for me. BOOM! I fell hard. I received my Baptiste Power Vinyasa 200 hour certification in 2008. I love the peace and the power that yoga offers. What else can I practice, at times working so hard, feeling so empowered, yet in the end so present and calm? I moved to Seattle in March 2017. I am filled with gratitude for the connections yoga is helping me create in this beautiful city! The journey continues.

I am inspired by my family, friends, the mountains and Kermit the Frog. I love to create in my kitchen and read a good book. I have a serious case of Wanderlust. Where next? My yoga mat now goes right on top of my running shoes in a backpack. Without yoga I might not have heard the monks chanting in Battambang as I sat in meditation on the veranda. I definitely would have missed a rainbow in Phnom Penh had it not been for a sun salutation.

It’s the journey, not the destination.
